As the season for student group tours is upcoming, the Beach Orchid offers student community across the country, a special all inclusive package for stay at its Five star facility at Kollam: Rs.2800 CP AI on quadruple occupancy per room per night, effectively per student-Rs.700 nett.   5. Shooting of “Neel akashe Chandni” a regional Bengali movie with a star cast of the   best from Tollygunge, the Bengali Film Industry at the Bridge.
  6. Mr. Simon Wilson the British High Commission had his farewell lunch at the Bridge
  7. Mr.Ajit Jogi Ex CM of Chattisgarh had his dinner at the Bridge specially to have a taste of hilsa.
  8. Chairman, South Eastern Railways was on board; he also appreciated the  Hilsa Delicacies
