Arco Iris is a very small, very elegant lodge in Santa Elena Costa Rica. The hotel's 6 rooms are located on a hill affording them a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. Owners Susana Stoiber and Heymo Heyder also operate a small restaurant and bar where Susana does most of the cooking herself. Both owners are personally committed to environmental responsibility, hence the operation earns top honors as 5 Globe member of the ECOTEL® Collection. Of all the environmental programs implemented here, Susana and Heymo are most recognized for their innovative methods of recycling and reusing wastes.
